VALKYRIA FILMES is an independent Brazilian production company that aims to produce audiovisual content for cinema and TV, combining technical and artistic excellence with themes that differ in cultural, social and historical aspects. Its director, Angelisa Stein, a producer and lawyer, has worked with some of the most renowned directors in Latin America, including Fernando Meirelles (LOOP) and Lucrecia Martel (ZAMA), and with co-productions involving Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, France, USA and Canada.

 

Valkyria is the producer of the feature film “MEN OF CLAY” (to be finalized), LGBTQIA+ drama by Fernando Musa and Angelisa Stein (co-production Brazil Argentina, O2 Play); associate producer of

“POROPOPÓ” (2022), a children’s feature film by Luís Igreja and Denise Bernardes that has participated in 14 festivals in 7 countries, with its world premiere at the 45th São Paulo International Film Festival, having received the award for Best Film at The Children's International Film Festival of Wales, Honorable Mention, amongst others;

LOOP” (2020), a time travel feature film by Bruno Bini (Globo Filmes, Canal Brasil, Elo Company) that took part in more than 10 festivals in 7 countries, including the prestigious Manchester Film Festival, where it was awarded Best Film, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Actor and Best Actress. Sold to countries such as Budapest, Ireland, France, USA, UK, Russia, the movie is currently available on Apple TV, Google Play, Youtube, Now, VivoPlay, OiPlay;

“DOLORES” (2017), period drama by John Dickinson (co-production Brazil Argentina, Fenix Distribuidora); and the short movie

“Fremd, the FOREIGNER” (2022), a documentary by Angelisa Stein, selected with the sixth best grade in an event by the Secretary of Culture of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
